The second GUC workshop at IAS welcomed 15 students from the German University in Cairo (GUC), spanning bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels. Over two weeks, participants tackled an ambitious project integrating three robots—a TurtleBot, a Unitree Go1, and a Franka Emika Panda—for seamless collaborative operations when performing sequential object handovers.
Supervised by Georgios Katranis and Philipp Grimmeisen, the students delivered impressive results, demonstrating exceptional technical skills and innovative approaches. It was a pleasure to host the GUC students, and we look forward to future collaborations.
